I'm curious what your favorite portrait lens is.

I'm favoring between an 85mm 1:1.8 and a 70-200mm 1:2.8.

85mm 1.4 & 1.8 is a good lens by review, but I get just as good shot with primes, but of course 50mm's arn't really portrait lenses they still work ok. I think the light and the user behind the camera is equaly important. Nice work.

Is the 70-200 2.8 really worth the price difference considering most have digital cameras that will shoot CLEANLY up to iso 1600??

I would not go out and spend over 2 grand on that lens but I couldn't pass up the deal I got on it and it does some really nice things... [/quote]

Thanks Joe,

I'm looking for one myself, but I want a good deal on it.
